Premier Baby Concierge on the 10! Show Monday!
I'm excited to announce that I'll be on the 10! Show on Monday morning to demonstrate how to make homemade organic baby food. Hopefully I'll be able to get a video to put on the Premier Baby Concierge Press page!
I'm prepared to discuss the benefits of making your own baby food and how it's done. It's a surprisingly simple and cost effective alternative to commercial baby foods.
If you're interested in trying out making your own baby food, you probably have all you need in your kitchen already. That said, there are several products out there to make the job even more efficient.
I'll be bringing my new favorite gadget to the 10! Show: the Beaba Cook baby food maker which you can find at William Sonoma. I'm also a big fan of single row ice cube trays with tops because I find that they are less messy to pour food into than either single food cubes or regular ice cube trays and because I can find little places in my freezer to tuck them. A couple of neat finds for taking baby food making on the go: the KidCo food mill and the Wean Machine.
There are several great books and websites that give tips on when and how to introduce solids, how much baby should eat at each age (how to balance with breast milk or formula), guides to which foods are okay to introduce when, and baby food recipes. My go-to guide during this process with my three girls has been Ruth Yaron's Super Baby Food Book. I've also found www.wholesomebabyfood.com helpful.
Happy cooking!
